I am taking August off from the book . Partly because  ..ahem ...' I'm worth it ' but also because I have now written 103,538 words (oh yes , I'm counting ) since 1 January . Back to  "work"  next month ,and I'm intending to see Time Attack at Croft (if they'll  let me in- I will double  the average age and I don't drive an Impreza   ) , Autograss and whatever else I can find before the season ends.  There's still another four or five chapters to write and then about 140,000 words to edit . Keeps me off the street I guess .....

This sunday I am heading to Barnard Castle , to the Barford Stadium , where I am going to see Unlimited Bangers for the very first time . I can't wait and ,  just a wild guess ,  I suspect it's not going to be too much like Goodwood Revival Meeting . At all.
